Just how many times a day must one endure the likes of Lady Gaga? Be it emanating from an unavoidable P.A. system when I’m shopping, or each time I turn on the TV, when all I can do is sit there stunned, and chuckle as I watch her strutting poolside. Again?!

I’m embarrassed for her, though I know I shouldn’t be. Surely, she must be very pleased with herself. I can’t help it though. Poker Face is an instant classic in a genre I like to call “So Bad It’s Good.” A quote: “Puh-puh-puh-puh-puh, Puh-puh-puh-puh-puh.”

In the video, Lady G. looks like a 13 year-old Jewish boy in drag. Her bathing suit has cut outs to create the illusion of curves on a plank-like body, and her skin is covered in make-up so thick that she looks more muppet than human.

I can’t help but wonder, how did we end up with mutants like Lady effin’ Gaga, when there are talented, sassy, full-figured performers like The Glamazons? Who wouldn’t prefer the charms of full-figured women performing classics in a burlesque way, as opposed to the same stupid dance routines we’ve seen a thousand times, and the feeble verse of a stuttering imp?

The only way my mind can rationalize such a travesty, is to consider the possibility that the public at large is unaware of The Glamazons. OK, so now you know.
