Voluptuous Models, Plus-Size Girls, and BBW Lovers Rejoice
A famous proverb says “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” I have been doing my best to keep this idea in mind, while finding one way after another to procrastinate the writing of my first post.
I bought this domain a year and a half ago, not knowing exactly what I was going to do with it. For a time, it could have become a portfolio website showcasing some of the plus-size models I’ve photographed. Then I considered making it a digital magazine about the issues faced by full-figured women, but being that this is a one-person operation (hopefully not forever), it quickly became apparent that there would be very long gaps in between issues. Finally, I opted to go with a photo blog. A blog offers unparalleled dynamic flexibility. It can be everything I mentioned above, and more. In the end, I wanted BBW Deluxe to be about it’s readers, and ideally to become a respected online community. A blog is the ideal medium for taking this where I want it to go.
That said, a community is not born overnight, so I’ll ask for your help, be it in the form of return visits, passing a link along to someone you know will appreciate it, by leaving comments, or by emailing your feedback to bbwdeluxe@gmail.com. I’m listening.
So who is this asking for your help? I’m not the woman in the photo. I’m David, just a guy who tends to disagree with the standard societal views on what constitutes beauty. I like to write, I like to take photographs, I like to make websites, and I like to mingle with my friends online. Join us, if you will.

I wasn't sure what the site was about. BBW reads in my mind big breasted women. Ha.
Best of luck here. Write something, send me a link, and I'll link you on occasion from The Broad Brush
Well, David, I think you're just awesome!! I found your blog through my a-frickin-dorable friend Dyxie on Flickr and you have ALL my admiration for creating this! The pix of Dyxie are much appreciated too! I'll be watching!
Hi Lea Anne, I sure appreciate you taking the time to comment. I'm very excited to be getting this going. There are lots of big plans, so please come back!
“Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.”
I am very proud of you and I look forward to your next post.
Thank you, Becky. It wouldn't be the same without your support!
